From1994 to 2014, Rocco was professor of Economics of Financial Intermediaries at the University of Bologna and was also a professor at Bocconi and Siena universities.
Amedeo Giurazza
Founder and CEO
He’s been dealing with finance for almost 35 years and is a board member in different companies in the industrial and service sectors.
He started his career as stockbroker and worked in the governing bodies of Rome Stock Exchange.
Then, he became the CEO of Borsaconsult SIM SpA (1991), the main stock broking firm in southern Italy, and of Vertis SpA (2001), as well as the exclusive advisor of Interbanca Gestione Investimenti SGR for the closed-end fund “Interbanca Investimenti Sud”.
In 2007 he founded Vertis SGR, a closed-end investment company, and is now its CEO.
Moreover, he’s been professor of Stock Exchange Techniques and Economics of Financial Intermediaries at the Faculty of Business and Economic Sciences of Università del Sannio for almost 20 years.
He is a member of the Board of Directors and the Vice President of the Venture Capital Committee of AIFI (the Italian Private Equity, Venture Capital and Private Debt Association) and the chairman of the Finance Committee Private Equity and Venture Capital of the Order of Chartered Accountants in Naples.
Amedeo earned a bachelor’s degree of Commerce from the University of Naples Federico II and is also a chartered accountant and statutory auditor.
Renato Vannucci

He’s been dealing with finance for more than 30 years and is a board member in different companies operating in the industrial and service sectors.
He started his career as floor trader at a brokerage firm of Naples Stock Exchange.
Subsequently and until 1999, he was a board member of Macrofit SIM and then Borsaconsult SIM, as well as the member of different technical committees of Assosim (Associazione Intermediari Mobiliari).
Before being the co-founder of Vertis SGR SpA (March 2007), Renato was the president of the Scouting Committee of Vertis SpA, the exclusive advisor of IGI SGR for the closed-end fund “Interbanca Investimenti Sud”, with the aim of identifying the best investment opportunities.
Arturo Capasso

With a PhD in Corporate Finance, after working as a professor in various Italian universities, Arturo is currently professor of Corporate Governance at Università del Sannio, professor of Business Valutation at the University of Naples Federico II and professor of Private Equity and Venture Capital at Luiss Business School in Rome.
Arturo earned a bachelor’s degree of Commerce from the University of Naples Federico II and an MBA from Columbia University in New York (USA).
Gualtiero De Felice
INDEPENDENT BOARD MEMBER
He has worked in Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena for 37 years. He ended his career as senior local trade union representative in the bank in 2011
Gualtiero earned a law degree from the University of Naples Federico II.
Giancarlo di Luggo
BOARD MEMBER
He’s a board member in different companies in the industrial and service sectors.
Since 1992, he’s been working for the family business, made of about thirty subsidiaries and associates operating in various sectors; he’s the CEO of the two parent companies and he’s also a director in some important business associations.
Giancarlo earned a bachelor’s degree of Commerce from the University of Naples Federico II and is also qualified to work as chartered accountant.
Marco Mele

He’s a member and board member of different companies in the service sector.
He’s had institutional roles at Fondazione di Sardegna and Confederazione Nazionale dell’Artigianato since 2013.
Sergio Beretta

Expert in corporate governance, internal control systems and strategic planning, he’s been a manager at Eni, Generali and Unicredit for more than 15 years.
Since 2009, he has been working as director and statutory auditor in private and public companies; he’s also a member of the supervisory bodies and is responsible for compliance, risk management and internal audit of listed, financial and insurance companies.
Before becoming the president of the board of auditors (May 2016), Sergio was chairman of the administrative board (December 2011) of Vertis and was appointed as judicial commissioner of special administration procedures by the Ministry of Economic Development.
Sergio earned a bachelor’s degree of Commerce from the University of Rome La Sapienza, is a chartered accountant and auditor, as well as the inspector of the Italian Football Association Gioco Calcio.
Raffaele Bini
MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF AUDITORS
He has 20 years’ experience as chartered auditor, consultant and statutory auditor of industrial and financial companies.
Raffaele is the chairman of the supervisory body of Opel Italia and Sodai Italia, as well as a member of the supervisory body of Nissan Italia and Preziosi Food.
Raffaele is a consultant of the accounting firm Ria Grant Thornton, R72 Partners, exclusive Italian partner of Oaktree Capital Management, and is an advisor on behalf of international law firms where he deals with ordinary and special corporate transactions.
Before working as statutory advisor for Vertis (April 2009), Raffaele was partner with different accounting firms and was professor of the Faculty of Commerce at the Second University of Naples.
Raffaele earned a bachelor’s degree of Commerce from the University of Naples Federico II and is also a chartered accountant and auditor.
Luigi Rizzi

He’s been working within the financial market law and the financial regulation for investment banks, investment funds, SIM, the distribution of financial and insurance products, financial companies, securitisation companies, payment institutions and other companies operating in the financial sector.
Luigi is professor of the department of Economics and adjunct professor of Banking & Finance at Luiss Business School. He’s also responsible for the practice of Investment Funds & Asset. Management and the financial regulation area of the associated professional practice Baker & McKenzie
Before working as statutory advisor for Vertis (May 2016), Luigi was partner with different accounting firms, inspector of CONSOB and consultant of Arthur Andersen.
Luigi earned a bachelor’s degree of Commerce from the University of Rome La Sapienza and is also a chartered accountant and auditor.
